5 New Year Promises

Tuesday, December 29, 2015
This year is coming to a close, and while it would be appropriate to look back at everything that happened this year, I think it's better if all of us focused on the next and not the then. Yes, important things might have occurred in 2015, but I believe we should keep what happened that year in 2015. Instead, let's focus on what we should do next, which is why, on my last post for the year, I'll be sharing the promises I'm making for the new year.

I will blog more
You heard it here first, folks. Starting January, you'll be seeing more blog posts every week. I'll admit that I wasn't very consistent with my blogging schedule in 2015, but this year I'm going to try my hardest to get rid of that bad habit.

I will drink less soda
I've always loved soda. It tastes good and it's refreshing, and I have soda whenever I dine out. The thing is, it has no healthy benefits at all. For my healthy resolution, I will drink soda only a few times per month until I stop drinking soda completely.

I will stop obsessing over academics
I have spent my entire life playing the role of a crazed and psychotic Hermione Granger when it comes to my academics. Truthfully, I'm tired of worrying about grades and getting on that Honor Student list. Now, I'll just focus on doing well, but I'll learn not to let it consume me.

I will produce better content
If you noticed (if you had the time to look back into my old posts), my unnecessary and meaningless posts are gone. I've reverted them to drafts because they were irrelevant; they had no direct link to what this blog stands for. In 2016, I will write better posts for all of you. So look out for that.

I will write more
I've noticed that I get frustrated and extremely down whenever I'm stripped of my passions, or whenever I feel like my life isn't heading to a certain direction anymore. Writing makes me happy, and being happy is something which I plan to do in the new year.

Those are my five promises for the New Year. I'll try my best to keep them, and at the end of the year, I'll invite all of you to know how it went.

But enough about my promises. I want to know what your promises/resolutions are for the New Year. Leave them in the comments below, or make a blog post and link me to it! I would love to read them.

What will you do in 2016?
