All-Day Games? Yes, Please! Affinity Games CDO

I don't know how long it has been since I've played my last board game. I remember playing Monopoly with my family when I was little, sitting cross-legged on the floor as I struggled to win and get as rich as possible. But, it wasn't just the family bonding that I missed -- I wanted to relive the excitement of not knowing what cards my friends had in their hands. I wanted to experience that friendly competition.

When I got invited to Affinity Games last week, I was beyond ecstatic. It was like someone had heard my wishes. I had heard of Affinity Games before but never got the chance to visit, but now that I have, I can't wait to go back. There's just something about playing board games and card games with friends that makes me so happy.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to walk into a library of board games, just go to affinity games. They have all the board games you can ever imagine, and they're all categorized for your convenience! From strategic games like Game of the Generals to rudely hilarious games like Cards Against Humanity, you'll spend hours playing, laughing and strategizing away.

What's best is that it will only cost you 25 PESOS/person each hour!

Ambiance-wise, Affinity Games immerses you in the world of games. Posters on the wall and figures hanging from the ceiling make great Instagram shots. There are enough tables and chairs for everyone; you can choose from a full-sized table to a more comfortable, lounge-type setup. The lighting, which is something I'm very particular about, isn't too bright and isn't too dim, which makes it perfect. Affinity Games has a decently sized area where they sell your typical snacks and drinks like Coke and potato chips. And yes, you can even bring food from outside. There's a Chingkee Tea shop right across Affinity Games, so if you're craving wintermelon milk tea while playing Jenga, you can always grab yourself a drink!

One thing that Affinity Games prides itself for is its strong Magic: The Gathering presence. I'm not a hundred percent knowledgeable when it comes to that game, but when I was there, they were hosting a tournament and it seemed pretty exciting. So, if you're into card trading and collecting, you'll definitely have a blast at Affinity Games. They also sell Magic: The Gathering cards!

Affinity Games is located at the ground floor of Grand Central, Hayes St., Cagayan de Oro City. To get a 12% discount on your games, use the code gail12 and play as much as you want. Hurry, though -- this code is valid only until the last day of June!

Maybe I'll even see you there!
